Flexible coils

The signal detected from a patient decays with a distance and closely placed detectors recover signals more efficiently. On the figures above you can see our implementation of  close proximity flexible detectors. Flexible arrays are more easily adoptable to various patient size and shape, compared to rigid arrays. The arrays employ traditional inductive coils as well as series resonance (low input impedance) and parallel resonance high impedance coils.

Another way to boost MRI sensitivity is to use cryogenic coils.
