With the purchase of a new MR scanner dedicated to research purposes, DTU Health Tech will be among world-class universities in terms of bioimaging.
An order for a 3 T Signa Premier MR scanner with multinuclear capability to support our translational research, education and innovation has just been placed.
“I believe that DTU Health Tech will be an even stronger collaborator for industry and hospitals with access to our own MR scanner, which in turn will strengthen both research and education at the department. It is an important step on the way towards the creation of a hub for translational imaging at DTU”, Head of Department Thomas L. Andresen says.
We expect the installation to be completed during 2021. This major investment was made possible through generous contributions from DTU and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
